dhtml: documentation for building apps (plain text, for AI assistants and people)
dhtml sites run on dhtml.net. You write the files of a project, zip them and upload them to your site. There is nothing to install.
Read agent-guide.txt first: it is short and covers what most apps need. The others are the full references.
Files link to each other by their original names (syntax.md and so on); here the same documents are the .txt files of the same name.
agent-guide.txt start here: the loop (write, zip, upload, read the result), the patterns, the rules
syntax.txt every tag, attribute and filter (the specification: never invent others)
templates.txt how pages, actions, jobs, mail, uploads, accounts and the rest work, with examples
config.txt every dhtml.config setting
deploy-api.txt deploy a zip to your site by script or API call (curl), for AI assistants and CI
skill/dhtml.zip the same knowledge as a Claude skill (SKILL.md and short references loaded when needed): https://dhtml.net/skill/dhtml.zip, readable at https://dhtml.net/skill/dhtml/SKILL.md
Rules that matter: never invent a tag, attribute or filter that is not in these files; every upload is checked, and the errors name the file and line and say how to fix it; a site that is running is left as it was when a check fails.
